The Asantehene, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, rode in his 88-year-old Rolls Royce

 


The Asantehene, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, traveled in his 88-year-old Rolls Royce from the Manhyia Palace to the St. Peter’s Basilica in Kumasi on Sunday, November 19, 2023, for the Thanksgiving Service honoring the late former First Lady, Theresa Aba Kufuor.



 Accompanying him was his wife, Lady Julia. This historic Rolls Royce, originally used by Otumfuo Sir Osei Agyeman Prempeh II in 1935, holds ceremonial significance for Asante Kings.


The vehicle was employed once again at the Thanksgiving Service, marking the reunification of the Asante Confederacy, with Asantehene Otumfuo Osei Tutu II in attendance.
