However, he emphasized the need for continued efforts to sustain this marginal stability, expressing concerns about potential threats during the upcoming election year. Speaking on PM EXPRESS BUSINESS Edition on Joy News, Laporte urged the government to enhance fiscal discipline, suggesting that earlier reforms might have been more effective in addressing economic challenges. Despite acknowledging some truth in the revenue mobilization issue, Laporte noted shortcomings in this aspect and emphasized the importance of securing necessary funds to support the economy. Additionally, the World Bank has introduced a new Country Director for Ghana and two other countries.
